We will share our photos via Instagram, using the #NETA14InstaWalk hashtag and then we will re-gram some of the tagged photos on NETA’s very own (and very new) Instagram account (@nebedtech). Food Bank for the Heartland Back Pack Program

We need your help! The Food Bank for the Heartland’s Back Pack program serves 228 schools in over 50 counties in Nebraska and Western Iowa. The back pack program is funded solely on donation and does not receive any federal funding or reimbursement. The most needed foods for the program are as follows: Peanut Butter, Crackers, Canned Fruit, Canned Vegetables, Canned Meat, Pancake Mix, Cereal, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Canned Soup, Hamburger Helper or similar item, Macaroni & Cheese. These foods are not packed in the back packs because they buy specific sizes for those but they also supplement schools with family boxes. A family box is a 20 to 25 pound box of food that is designed to provide a family with some staples to get them through the month. Most schools use these boxes for emergencies, for example if a parent calls requesting assistance because of a family emergency such as a loss of job. You do so much for your school(s) and we would appreciate you helping in another way. Please help NETA give back to the students and families in need by bringing one or more of these items. We will hold a raffle drawing for a prize for all who donate. Thank you!
